Happy Birthday to Me



Today is my birthday...a big 42! Yesterday my son Frankie took me shopping, so I could pick out something I loved (he's loves buying gifts for people) I found this "Bistro" sign that I thought would look great in the kitchen. So he grabbed it up, and we brought it home and I made him take a picture with it. He's cute isn't he? Last night at midnight he came into the art room and said..."It's five minutes till your birthday. And at midnight he pulled out a little retro looking clock I had also seen and a really cool 12" nickel and black candle lighter. He's really too much.

42 Years Ago...I love this picture I have of my parents and me. My Dad is so handsome...and look at my Mom, all decked out in her pearls. I just love it!


I have to say thank you to my daughter Gina too. Last week when she was here she bought me an adorable pajama set from LaSenza...the Canadian version of Victoria Secret...which I just love...thanks Gina xoxo

Weeeee...look what just came to my front door! Thank you Cliff...I love them.

The Simple Things

Today was a perfect day...weather wise. Just like I remember summers as a kid. Just the right temperature, the perfect amount of breeze, the bluest sky, and nothing pressing to get to. That's where it goes flat for me. It seems like when everything is busy, I would give anything for a day like today. Yet when a day like this actually does come my way...I am BORED TO TEARS. I took some pictures this morning...

The bean seeds my neighbour gave me have grown into something so delicious...but with the amount I have growing...I'd starve my family if I was a farmer.

It's not that I don't have things I could be doing...like I should have listed more necklaces...or vacuumed. Just didn't seem like today was the day to do it.

On another note, my husband Cliff has finally received his immigration papers, and he should be here by the 3rd week of September. I'm thrilled. Although he comes every other weekend, and we talk on the phone constantly throughout the day. I feel like I forget what it's like to just share your days with the person you love. You know...the good and the bad. When we have our weekends (for the past 8 months) you feel like you shouldn't leave each others side. Like our time is too precious to go take a nap, or run out and enjoy a day shopping on your own. So it's a little like having company...totally great, but a little tiresome at the end of the day. So anyway, I'm looking forward to life being back to normal. It's been a long haul.

By the way...that's another thing I seem to do when I'm bored...RAMBLE. So on that note...thanks for listening.

Have computer...will blog

I've been in New Jersey since Tuesday. Catching up on some of the shops I've missed since I've moved back to Canada. The heat wave has finally broke, so today we have planned to get out and about. Our old town "Highlands" is having their annual Clam Fest, so we will wander around there for awhile checking out the vendors then meeting up with our great ex next door neighbors Sach and Paula for dinner. I've just come across some amazing images for more domino pendants...I can't wait to get back home and get going on more ideas...I'm sure you will love them. Well no more time hanging inside...gotta run...enjoy the sunshine!

The day ended with a BANG!

Cliff is still coming home every other weekend so this past Friday when he arrived early in the morning, I picked him up as usual, and we headed to Niagara Falls. It took us an hour to get there from the airport.

Living so close to the Falls all my life, I have been there dozens of times. My parents use to make a day of it when we were just babies. It's a beautiful park setting, with tons of nightlife, and lots to do. It was the first time Cliff had been there, so that was pretty cool. We had an absolutely fabulous time. Miss you Cliff.
